The Sacro Monte di Orta is located in a panoramic position on a hill overlooking the village of Orta and embracing the view of the lake and mountains. The devotional path winds through twenty late-Renaissance and Baroque chapels, depicting the life of Saint Francis of Assisi through statues and paintings. The complex is set in a naturally beautiful environment: paths, hedges, shaded paths, beech, oak, and lime trees. Visiting the Sacro Monte is an experience that amazes almost all visitors. It is a journey that offers moments of serenity and inner peace, immersed in the silence and beauty of nature.
